Patrons of The Elbow are likely no stranger to one of the district’s most creative voices. Darryl Green has wowed the First Coast for years as a professional skater, designer, singer, rapper, and most recently as a celebrated photographer. Now, his company Epic Images has partnered with New Growth Movement to present the “Heart of the City Photography Fashion Show” at 1904 Music Hall on October 24, 2015.
The event will incorporate beautiful images of the city of Jacksonville, as well as curate a fashion show, and feature live music from Green’s band, Universal Green. With the help of Orain Benjamin, owner of Benjamin Ivory Bowties, Jacksonville will be introduced to the infusion of photography and fashion, where the two meet and fall in love. Green felt compelled to create the gallery because of the negative connotation that Jacksonville is struggling to overcome.
“I was born and raised here. I want to take it upon my self to show the beauty of the city of Jacksonville.”
The photographic presentation will feature Darryl Green’s interesting perspective of the city from a bird’s eye view. The host of the event will be local Hip Hop legend Al Pete. Tim Hartman will cater the evening. With a stellar cast in place, this is set to be an amazing experience.
Tickets can be purchased here for $20. Early bird tickets can be purchased at $15 until October 1st. Doors open at 5 p.m. Sponsored by muvmnt Watches and 1904 Music Hall. For media related inquiries, contact Tabitha Higgs at Tabitha@dymondmindpr.com
